Digha: The best sea beach among the others in West Bengal. Situated 187 km southwest of Kolkata, Digha sea beach holds the record for the wildest sea beach in Bengal. This alluring Sea Beach attracts thousands of people daily from different parts of West Bengal. Digha has two parts of it, New Digha and Old Digha. People who love to dive into the sea, again and again, they prefer New Digha as it has a low gradient and is wider than Old Digha. Gentle rolling waves attract tourists to this part. Whereas The Old Digha is famous for its Mohona, fisheries, and local food stalls. West Bengal tourism has decorated Old Digha in a lucrative way that you can spend your whole day sitting on the boulders while eating local seafood. Tajpur: The land of red crab is 16 km away from Digha and is a newly discovered destination in West Bengal that has not gained popularity as of now. As this place is not as crowded as Digha, you can see some migrant birds as well.

Mandarmoni: one of the most popular honeymoon places in the southern part of West Bengal is Mandarmoni. Compare to Digha this place is less crowded. This place can be reached directly in Kolkata by highway. Or you can get a bus from Esplanade to Chaulkhola then from Chaulkhola you will get a lot of local transportation such as Toto, auto, and engine van. Mandarmoni has a 13 km motorable beach which is arguably the longest motorable beach in India. Mandarmoni is far away from the crowd and costly. Most people go to this place for a honeymoon.

Shankarpur: This beach is a twin of Digha beach. Just around 10 to 11 km away from New Digha Shankarpur is one of the popular fish harbors in this region. If you want to click some jaw-dropping pictures of sunrise and sunset come to Shankarpur. Very few people stay at this place. Even daily-goers are also less in the count. If you can come to this place early in the morning you might get the chance to see red crabs rolling sandballs on the beach. The easiest way to come to Shankarpur is to take an Engine Van or Toto from Digha.Udaipur: If you’ve already visited Digha and have a lot of spare time in hand then walk by the side of Digha beach. Two km away, Udaipur is a place of peace. Madding crowded of Digha will not disturb you to taste the fresh oxygen. This place is the border area of Odisha and West Bengal so if you have the plan to get a glimpse of Odisha culture can head off to this place. The easiest way to go to Udaipur is to get a total from New Digha. And in no time you will reach there.

Junpur: Want some exotic sea views then come to Junpur. This place is 40 km away from Digha. As mentioned it’s a little far from the other areas it has remained unspoiled. Junpur is famous for its fisheries and fish research centers. Although this place doesn’t have a lot of hotels Authorities of fisheries have set up a few well-decorated Bungalows where you can stay for a couple of days to unwind.
